In Pursuit of excellence
I had one of the best English teachers in primary school. Until today I remember him and his great work. He believed we could author books at that age, something that even triggered that interest in me to do so. We loved English.
Mr. Mayaka put his soul, his entire being into teaching us English. Such passion. Equally, I interacted with my aunt in Kitale the most in my mid-childhood level, and I believe that's where I stole the passion from. The dedication, she served women and youth with her entire being as if they were children of her own was beautiful.
People that had the courage to pour in their hearts fascinate me. When for the first time I watched sir Magoha speak on education and what must be done. For the first time, the country saw true A's when Matiangi came on board, and we all wondered who is that guy.
He said, "If you are going to be a toilet cleaner, you must be the best toilet cleaner ever"
When Michuki came on board, and for the first time, in Kenya, as a country, we would sit in dignified matatus. After much suffering. We were even exposed to better use of seat belts.
There is no other way to do anything than to exert passion. To fill everything we do with our hearts, it will be devastating if we lose, but if we win we become unforgettable.
MAKE EVERY MOMENT COUNT. Yes may we put our entire being, even with the risk of failure, but an equal chance of victory. To be soaked into the moment fully
